
Apple has just unveiled those transcriptions in the Apple Podcasts app will be integrated with the eight additional languages beginning today.
The transcripts were previously only available for podcasts spoken in English, French, German, and Spanish since the feature was released as part of iOS 17.4.
Transcriptions in the additional languages will be rolled out on a gradual basis for all iPhones and iPads running iOS 17.4 or iPadOS 17.4 and later.

Gadinsider has compiled a lineup of eight additional languages to be supported in the Apple Podcasts.

- Danish
- Dutch
- Finnish
- Italian
- Norwegian
- Portuguese
- Swedish
Apple claimed these transcriptions are not generated by artificial intelligence (AI), and as a result, this feature does not require a device with Apple Intelligence support.
How to view search transcripts in Apple Podcast
You can make podcasts more accessible and immersive by viewing a transcript of an episode. Here’s how:
- On an episode page in the Podcast app, you can scroll down to view a transcript, or tap the More button and tap View Transcript.
- Tap back to return to the episode page.
- Additionally, you can read along with an episode as it plays. To start, tap the player at the bottom of the screen to open the Now Playing screen, then tap Play.
- Now, tap the Transcript button at the bottom left of the screen.
- Words in the transcript will be highlighted as that section of the podcast plays.
