Apple announced the release of the first public beta for its latest operating system — iOS 18, at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2024 last month. However, the tech giant has just released public beta on its latest operating systems including, iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, and tvOS 18.

This upgrade has brought in a slew of exciting updates and improvements to the Apple devices including, several customisation and personalisation options, redesign for apps, and much more.

What's new in iOS 18?

Here is the broad range of new features that are going to enhance your experience after you install the iOS 18 on your devices.

iOS 18 and iPadOS 18

The public beta of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 includes numerous major updates, such as RCS messaging support, new home screen customisations, and a redesigned Control Centre.

The public beta also extends to the Photos app that features a unified layout that has been simplified into a single view, while a dark mode icon is also included. Moreover, a native Calculator app debuts on iPad with iPadOS 18 beta.

watchOS 11 and tvOS 18

WatchOS 11 public beta includes rest days and the Vitals app, featuring glanceable details on health metrics collected overnight. The TVOS 18 Beta analytics introduced an InSight feature, which is similar to Amazon's X-Ray that provides its users with behind-the-scenes information on Apple TV Plus content.

macOS Sequoia

The public beta for macOS Sequoia enables the ability to effortlessly enable window titling, web browsing with fewer distractions, new iPhone Mirroring, and support for Apple Intelligence.

Availability and installation

Apple's website provides installation instructions for each device; you can easily download the public beta for iOS 18 from there. However, the public beta is available for limited iOS devices, including
