Top iOS 18 features for AirPods Pro

Head Gestures on Airpods Pro

According to Apple, iOS 18 will add new head gestures to the AirPods Pro, a feature which Apple appears to have planned to let users control their AirPods Pro contactless and nonverbally. These head gestures will also help decline or attend incoming calls by nodding the head up and down, or shaking left to right.

Voice Isolation

Another on the list of best iOS 18 features for AirPods Pro is Voice Isolation, a feature aimed at improving the calling experience. The Voice Isolation feature on AirPods Pro would ensure a clearer voice for you and the person on the other end of the call by blocking the noise.

Personalised Spatial Audio for Gaming on AirPods Pro

The iPhone maker also seems to be well considerate of gaming freaks, as iOS 18 is also bringing Personalised Spatial Audio with dynamic head tracking. The feature will only be accessible for gaming on the following AirPod variants:

  • AirPods (3rd generation)
  • AirPods Pro
  • AirPods Max

Granular Adaptive Audio Control

You may be familiar with the Adaptive Noise Control feature on the second-generation AirPods Pro, which automatically detects changes in the user's environment and adjusts audio accordingly.

The feature at the moment is present in AirPods Pro only in two ways: to be or not to be, meaning that either you can enable it or disable it, there's no grey area in between. However, iOS 18 is making it a customisable feature by integrating a Customise Adaptive Audio menu.

When does the iOS 18 update come out

All of the features, mentioned above for AirPods Pro, iOS 18 is bringing will come into effect after its full-fledged rollout. The iOS 18 will be released later this year, most likely to come in the fall.
