Ever got blocked on X (formerly Twitter) by a friend but struck by an uncontrollable urge to catch up with what they're posting? You could have been dejected for not being able to get around this even a few days earlier, but gratefully, Elon Musk is about to make it possible soon.

X is reportedly working on a new feature which will let users view posts shared by users they have been blocked by, as per what Gadgets360 reported.

For the time being, the magical functionality has not been integrated into the microblogging platform.

The inclusion of the great workaround to see posts from those blocked or those who blocked you might have resulted from Musk's commitment to turning X into an "everything" app, with which the tech tycoon is also aiming to introduce an in-app payment method as well.

In light of a tweet on X posted by an app researcher @nima_owji, the social media platform is eyeing to remove existing blocking functionality, meaning the posts of users whose account privacy is set to public will be visible to even those users who they've blocked.

What adds credibility to the app researcher's post is Elon Musk's reply to the post, stating: “High time this happened.”

He added that the new block functionality on X will block users from engaging with those who blocked them. However, blocked users will still be able to see posts shared by public profiles.
