The early access beta for Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 continues to heat up with new features and updates. On Day 3 of the beta, developer Treyarch added an entirely new playlist with the title of Open Moshpit that provides players with relief from strict matchmaking criteria.
If you're not familiar with the title, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 is the latest entry in the legendary first-person shooter series featuring chaotic multiplayer action, engaging campaigns, and the beloved Zombies mode.
The early access beta launched on October 2, giving players an opportunity to check out new maps, weapons, and game modes prior to official release.
This newly released Open Moshpit playlist features 4 maps and six game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, and Overload. The primary difference, however, is the minimum skill-based matchmaking (SBMM) involved.
Instead of players roughly being placed in skill-based lobbies, they are being matched more randomly now. Treyarch noted that this "experiment" would help them garner feedback on improving the overall experience with Call of Duty: Black Ops 7
Since the beta has started, Treyarch has introduced several updates, including double XP, Zombies Survival mode, and modifications to the time-to-kill (TTK) and weapon XP.
Fans have praised the new additions, saying, “Call of Duty is back,” while others are hopeful that Treyarch will soon balance overpowered features like the Gravemaker scorestreak before the open beta launches on October 5.
