To the delight of those eager to get their hands on the new anime-like artificial intelligence-generated art, lately an overwhelming internet sensation, OpenAI has now made ChatGPT's Studio Ghibli-style image generator available for all users.
The Ghibli-style image generator is powered by the GPT-4o AI reasoning model. The iconic Japanese AI-driven art form has caused a frenzy among AI savvies across social media platforms, prompting them to generate animated simulations of their original pictures.
When released initially, the Studio Ghibli image generator was accessible only to ChatGPT Plus users.
The announcement was made by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in a post on X (formerly Twitter). He recently remarked that the Ghibli-style image generator's demand was enormously high that it was “melting” the company’s GPUs due to high demand.
How many Ghibli style images can you generate per day?
Although there have been no new announcement on the limit of generating Ghibli style images on ChatGPT, the OpenAI CEO had previously noted that ChatGPT's free-tier users will be able to generate three Ghibli-style images per day.
Contrary to this limit claim, Android Authority reported they were allowed to generate only one Ghibli-style image a day, as attempting to generate more displayed the following message: “You need GPT-4o to continue this chat because there’s an attachment. Your limit resets after 2:20 PM.”
Since there's uncertainty and a lack of official confirmation as to how many images free ChatGPT users can produce, only time will disclose how many takes of the widely popular Ghibli-style art users will be allowed.
