Google recently introduced its highly useful new Circle to Search feature in January, aligning with Samsung's launch of the Galaxy S24 series. However, the feature is currently only compatible with a limited number of Android devices, and Samsung suggests that this may not change for several months.
In a press release from the Netherlands this week, Samsung touts the success of the Galaxy S24 series, which has already exceeded pre-order numbers for the Galaxy S23 series. However, Samsung also provides initial insight into when Circle to Search may become available on more Android phones.
Samsung has stated that Circle to Search will be limited to the Google Pixel 8 series and Galaxy S24 series for most of 2024. Samsung has suggested that it "may" become available on other Android devices starting from October 5th, but the company has stated that there are currently "no active developments underway."

While it seems unlikely that there are truly "no active developments underway," but the timeline mentioned is at least feasible. If the feature does expand in early October, it would intesect with the launch of Google's Pixel 9 which is scheduled for the same month.
It appears unlikely that Samsung will release its upcoming foldable devices in August without enabling Circle to Search. The same reasoning applies to the anticipated earlier release of the Pixel 8a.
The majority of Circle to Search's functionality is already available on all Android devices. As reflected earlier, replicating most of the features through Google Lens is not particularly challenging.
However, it's the speed and convenience of Circle to Search that make it highly useful, so it's unfortunate that it may take a while for it to be available on other devices.
