The 100,000 e-bikes initiative is part of the provincial government's efforts to promote eco-friendly transportation and facilitate students' daily commutes.

Punjab’s Honhaar Scholarship Program

The scholarship program will benefit students from 65 universities, 12 medical and dental colleges, and 359 colleges in Punjab.

This move aims to encourage students to focus on their education without worrying about financial hurdles.

Notably, students under 22 years of age with a Punjab domicile and a parental income below Rs300,000 per month are eligible to apply for the program.

The CM Punjab also stated that scholarships had already been awarded to 2,473 students at the University of Punjab, while 1,886 students from UET Lahore have also benefited.

However, to ensure transparency, all applications for the scholarships were processed through an online portal followed by a multilayered scrutiny process.

Moreover, she highlighted the government's plans to build a campus for an international university at the Nawaz Sharif IT City and to introduce a laptop scheme in Punjab.
