In line with fluctuations in the petroleum rates in the international market, petrol price in Pakistan has been increased by Rs8.36 per litre in the latest fortnightly adjustment, applicable from July 1, 2025.
The latest petrol price in Pakistan from July 1 onwards was announced by the federal government, which will remain in effect until the next fuel price review on July 15.
Updated petrol price in Pakistan from July 1
In light of the official statement rolled out by the Finance Division, the petrol price in Pakistan has been jacked up to Rs266.79.
It is believed that the price increase has primarily been driven by the recent Iran-Israel conflict which led to fears of global oil supply disruption.
Another possible factor behind the recent raise in petrol prices in Pakistan is the government approval to impose a Rs2.5 per litre carbon levy on petrol and diesel, starting from July 1. Its announcement was made during the federal budget presentation for the fiscal year 2025-26.
