Days after announcing the latest iteration of Grok, an artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot developed by his AI venture xAI, Elon Musk late on Saturday confirmed that Grok 3 will be released on Monday (February 17).

Not only will AI freaks be treated to a plain launch of Grok 3, but the tech billionaire also noted that there will also be a live demo at 8:00 pm (Pacific time) on February 17, Reuters reported.

Musk earlier this week disclosed that the upcoming version of Grok 3 was in deep development, clearly indicating that the AI tool was close to getting revealed within a week or two.

"Grok 3 has very powerful reasoning capabilities, so in the tests that we've done thus far, Grok 3 is outperforming anything that's been released, that we're aware of, so that's a good sign," he said while addressing the World Governments Summit in Dubai via video call.

Being one of a few ultra-wealthy tech tycoons in the world, Musk has been featuring in headlines, courtesy of his $97.4 billion bid to acquire OpenAI.

Although OpenAI, the AI startup Musk cofounded with Sam Altman, has unequivocally and unanimously rejected his offer, he is said to have submitted alongside a few investors, to take over the ChatGPT maker.

On the contrary, OpenAI's board of directors on Wednesday explained that the Musk-led offer was not officially conveyed to it, and was rather sent via email, as claimed by the lawyer representing Musk, as a four-page letter of intent.
