Faysal Bank Limited (FBL), Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank, recently launched the “Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi Programme,” a roadshow aimed at spreading awareness regarding the legal remittance channels all across the country.
This programme is organised in partnership with the State Bank of Pakistan’s Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI), aiming to educate the communities about the significance of remittances to promote Pakistan’s economy and sustainability, discouraging the use of informal channels for money transfer and ensuring fast and efficient payments.
The event was organised in Mandi Bahauddin, and attended by top officials from the Pakistan Remittance Initiative (PRI) of the State Bank of Pakistan, with more events planned to take place all across the country.
The event featured several interactive sessions, an award ceremony, and honouring families who leverage a comprehensive suite of FBL’s remittance services.
This initiative aligns with the bank’s broader vision to improve financial inclusion and promote economic growth and sustainability by offering reliable remittance solutions through its Tez Tareen Remittance service.
While highlighting the bank’s commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economy, Global Home Remittance, Corporate and Investment Banking Head Mr Ziad Aftab Ejaz stated: “We at Faysal Bank recognise the challenges in raising awareness about secure and lawful remittance channels, including limited understanding and reliance on informal methods.”
“Through the ‘Faysal Islami Remittance Agahi’ programme, we aim to address these issues by educating communities on the benefits of legal remittance channels. This initiative underscores our commitment to supporting Pakistan’s economy and ensuring safe, efficient fund transfers for overseas Pakistanis and their families,” he added.
