The Directorate General of Passports has created four new passport sub-zones in Punjab to enhance service delivery and aid people who require travel documents.

Reportedly, the Director General of Passports, Mustafa Jamal Qazi, has stated that this includes two sub-zones in Central Punjab that will be operated under RPO Lahore and RPO Gujranwala, and two sub-zones in South Punjab that will be headed by RPO Multan and RPO Bahawalpur.

According to Qazi, the objective is to provide quicker and more effective passport services and to facilitate the administrative working of the department throughout the province.

Qazi assured the public that the department is using every available resource to issue passports for citizens while they are in Pakistan as well as for citizens abroad.

The Director General of Passports said that these new sub-zones will have a positive impact on reducing delays in processing passports as well as on the rising demand for passports, which has increased tremendously in the last few months because of overseas travel and necessary employment.
