Samsung on Thursday announced that its Galaxy AI platform now supports 22 languages, marking a major step towards expanding artificial intelligence (AI) to a wider audience.

The South Korean tech giant added two new languages, Gujarati and Filipino (Tagalog), available for download as a language pack in the Settings app.

Users of compatible devices can download, as with these language packs, Galaxy AI's suite of features, including Live Translation, interpreter, Chat Assist, Note Assist, Transcript Assist and Browsing Assist, now reach more widely around the world.

Samsung said: "These features were created with deep linguistic understanding and regional insight to ensure Galaxy AI adapts naturally to the ways people communicate."

According to the company, the Gujarati and Filipino language models are developed in partnership with Samsung Research Units in India and Indonesia, respectively.

Samsung expects Galaxy AI to run on over 400 million devices by the end of this year. It should be noted that 70% of Galaxy S25 owners frequently engage with Galaxy AI, Google Gemini, and 47% depend on AI 'heavily' in their daily activities.
