The Galaxy Z Flip 6 will not support DeX, the feature that allows users to turn their Samsung handhelds into a desktop-like interface by projecting it on their PCs and TVs.
During the launch of the previous iteration, the Flip 5, the company addressed this issue, citing insufficient heat dissipation as the reason for the feature's absence.
Though the newer model sports an improved cooling system, it still lacks DeX compatibility.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 boasts a vapour cooling chamber that is 150% bigger than the vapour chamber in the Galaxy S23 Ultra, allowing for much better temperature control than any previous model.
The Flip 6 is not lacking in performance either. It runs on a Snapdragon 8 3rd generation processor with 12GB of standard RAM. Despite this advanced hardware, Samsung has inexplicably decided to omit DeX support for the phone, a feature that would have truly maximised its user experience.
While the general public might not be overly concerned, real enthusiasts, the ones most likely to purchase this handset, are sure to be disappointed by this omission, especially given the $100 price increase.
There isn’t much information available on why DeX has been omitted. Samsung could potentially roll it out through a software update, but until then, a more specific statement from the company would be appreciated.
