
Pakistan was awarded the "Tech Destination of the Year" award at GITEX Global 2024 in Dubai on Saturday (October 19), led by the State Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima Khawaja.
Exemplifying this achievement was the tremendous participation of over 200 Pakistani companies and experts throughout the event for the prosperity of the IT sector and international cooperation.

Pakistan at GITEX Global 2024
At GITEX Global 2024 Pakistan made a strong impression, with an impressive 200+ companies, startups, and industry experts representing the country in Dubai.
This significant presence showcased Pakistan's successful IT and ITeS sectors, ultimately earning it the prestigious "Tech Destination of the Year" award.

Pakistan's State Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja expressed pride and gratitude to the participants, delegates, and companies that represented Pakistan at GITEX Global 2024.
"Your commitment and labour have made this event a huge success for Pakistan while taking the spectacular potential of our IT industry onto the international stage," she added.
Several Pakistani companies signed MoUs with international tech leaders, which means forward-looking collaborations would soon follow. These partnerships would help Pakistan stay ahead of the curve in tech.
