Google is developing a new artificial intelligence (AI) feature for its AI chatbot, Google Gemini, aimed at giving users more control over the content generated by the AI chatbot.

The feature, called "content filters," was discovered in the latest beta version of the Google app for Android, as per the report.

Content filter feature in Google Gemini

Android Authority reported that Gemini’s filter feature was spotted in the Google app for Android beta version 15.51.24.sa.arm64.

The content filter feature will allow Google Gemini users to have control over harmful or unwanted content generated by the chatbot.

A screenshot shared by the publication reveals that the feature is located within the Gemini Settings page between the options of Screen context and Manage your Advanced subscription, with a description that reads, "Use filters to control the responses you see."

Additionally, by tapping on Gemini’s content filter feature, users are redirected to a URL on Google's Gemini website.

The feature might enable users to customise the tone and style of Gemini's responses or even blacklist specific websites or topics.

Notably, Google has not officially confirmed the main function of the feature, and it is not yet publicly available.
