In a surprising announcement at Google I/O 2025 keynote, Google made public Google AI Ultra, a new subscription tier in Gemini, which is priced at £249.99 per month.

The new Gemini AI plan is designed for those seeking some top-notch artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities. For first-time users, Google has cut the cost in half as a promotional price for the first three months.

Google AI Ultra comes with 30TB of storage for Photos, Drive, and Gmail, and all services that typically cost £149.99 a month.

Subscribers will be given the highest AI usage limits, access to Google's most powerful models, and early entry to premium features before they roll out to the general public.

What's Deep Think announced at Google I/O 2025?

The Google AI Ultra plan also brings perks from the previously available Google AI Pro plan, offering 12,500 AI credits and exclusive features under Google Workspace, not to mention the biggest feature, Deep Think, which is solely made for mathematics and coding tasks, in Gemini 2.5 Pro, Android Police noted.

As it stands, the Google I/O 2025 keynote's biggest chunk of focus was directed towards AI, as Google brought enhancements to its Gemini 2.5 Flash and Pro models, both claimed to be the company's most advanced AI systems. The Gemini 2.5 Pro has now been integrated with a new reasoning mode called Deep Think.

Both of the above-mentioned models will soon be available generally.

Besides, Google also announced two generative media models, Imagen 4 and Veo 3, alongside upgrades to Google Workspace products, whose major improvements include smart replies in Gmail and live speech translation in Google Meet.
