Google has just launched its latest lineup of Pixel 9 series including the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. As the Pixel 9 series comes with a faster charging speed, therefore, it also requires a faster charger, meaning a new 45W charger which Google launched at its Made by Google event.
The Pixel 9 Pro XL carries a 5,060mAh battery, however, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro have smaller cells, at 4,700mAh. Due to the larger batteries in these models, Google decided to equip each device with fast charging capability.
Previously, Google’s most powerful charger supported a maximum output of 25W; however, now the tech giant is replacing it with a new model of 45W.

Alongside Google, other tech companies such as Samsung, Sony, and Apple also follow similar fast-charging capabilities. Meanwhile, some modern Android phones also offer impressive 100W+ charging capabilities.
The new charger is now available for preorders at a starting price of $29.99 on the Google store.
