Google has officially announced a plethora of new features on Wednesday, September 3, to the Android ecosystem and Pixel devices.
Alphabet-owned tech giant has unveiled Material 3 Expressive to Pixel phones, Adaptive Audio for the Pixel Buds Pro 2, on-wrist navigation for the Pixel Watch, enhanced audio sharing capabilities, the ability to create custom Android bots, and more.
According to the company, Pixel 6 and newer devices, including Pixel Tablet, are now featured with Material 3 Expressive, which will make your Pixel feel even more personal, as you can use Live effects to add animations to your lock screen’s wallpaper and create customised calling cards for contacts.
On the other hand, Google plans to launch Adaptive Audio for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 later this month, which will enable the buds to adjust according to your surroundings, keeping you alert while listening to the music.
Pixel Watch users can now begin walking or biking navigation on their phone in Google Maps and then have it automatically displayed on their smartwatch.
With the latest update, Pixel devices now support pairing two LE Audio Bluetooth headphones, enabling users to share audio with a friend or family member, even in busy or noisy environments.
Google notes that this feature is useful in various scenarios, including busy cafes and public transportation, where ambient noise can be a challenge.
The revamped Quick Share feature on Android makes it simple to share and receive content, letting you instantly switch between sending and receiving, preview photos before sharing, and open received files immediately.
Alphabet-owned Google unveiled Androidify, allowing users to build their own Android bot by uploading a selfie or writing a prompt. Androidify uses Gemini 2.5 Flash to caption the photo and Imagen to generate your custom Android bot.
