Halo Infinite, the widely acclaimed first-person shooter from Halo Studios under Microsoft’s Xbox Game Studios, has been confirmed to receive its final major content update on 18 November 2025.
Titled 'Operation: Infinite,' this update will mark the endpoint of large-scale updates for the game, as the studio is reportedly shifting its focus to developing new Halo titles currently in the pipeline.
The Halo Infinite maker has also announced that future efforts will concentrate on “multiple Halo projects,” ensuring fans can expect fresh experiences from the Halo universe in the near future.
Although Halo Infinite will no longer receive notable updates, it will continue to benefit from basic maintenance support.
One of the most anticipated projects is Halo: Campaign Evolved, a complete remake of the original Halo: Combat Evolved, expected to launch in 2026 for Xbox, PC, and PlayStation 5.
This will mark a significant milestone, as it will be the first Halo title available on Sony’s console. Additionally, there are unconfirmed reports of a new multiplayer live-service game inspired by popular online titles.
The Operation: Infinite update will introduce several exciting features, including a doubled earning rate for Career Rank and Spartan Points, making progression easier.
Halo Infinite players will also have access to a final free Operation Pass, with no expiration date, allowing for rewards to be unlocked at their leisure.
