
Rockstar Games is now letting Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 5 PC players pre-load the forthcoming improved variants before the launch date.
In a blog post on its website, the developer revealed that the forthcoming upgrade is now accessible for pre-load from the Rockstar Games Launcher and Steam for PC.
According to Rockstar Games, the improved variant will come with “highly requested features previously only available in the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions including new vehicles and performance upgrades, access to subscribe to GTA+.”
While the GTA 5 upgrade is set to launch on March 4, PC players can easily pre-load it via Steam and Rockstar Games Launcher.
Notably, Rockstar Games has renamed the current variant as GTAV Legacy and it will keep supporting it.
Follow these steps to pre-load the upgrade:
- Firstly launch Steam on PC and sign in with the account which owns GTA 5.
- Now go to library > select Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced
- Tap the button labelled PRELOAD
- Choose your preferred installation location for the improved edition.
- Afterwards, click on Install.
- Now select Accept to start the download.
Moreover, PC players are allowed to relocate their Story Mode progress to the latest variant using the Pause Menu inside GTA 5 Legacy.
Meanwhile, PS4 and Xbox One players can relocate Story Mode and Online progress to PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
