Infinix is gearing up to integrate China’s artificial intelligence (AI) chatbot DeepSeek R1 in its upcoming mid-range smartphone lineup, the Infinix Note 50 series.

The Note 50 series is set to debut in the Indonesian market on March 3, 2025, and it includes two variants: the standard Infinix Note 50 and the Infinix Note 50 Pro.

Realme recently also confirmed its collaboration with DeepSeek-R1, making the Realme Neo 7 SE the first smartphone in the market to get DeepSeek integration.

DeepSeek R1 integration in Infinix Note 50 series

The DeepSeek R1 integration is set to enhance Infinix’s Folax voice assistant. It's worth noting that Folax is a virtual assistant using AI to help users with tasks on their Infinix phones.

The DeepSeek R1 integration will enable seamless AI-driven voice interactions. Users will be able to access it by simply pressing the power button.

It is pertinent to note that DeepSeek’s AI chatbot recently gained significant attention, particularly in the US, for offering high-performance AI at a lower cost than US rivals like OpenAI and Google.

Infinix Note 50 specs (expected)

The Infinix Note 50 is expected to measure 9mm in thickness and support NFC, dual-band WiFi, and 45W wired fast charging.

Alongside standard Note 50 and Note 50 Pro, the Note 50 series is also expected to include Note 50X, Note 50, Note 50 Pro, and Note 50 Pro+ 5G.
