Much to the delight of iPhone users, Apple has rolled out its sixth developer beta of iOS 26, along with updates for iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Mac, as it approaches the public launch in September.

While the changes are less significant, there are notable updates, including a new selection of ringtones, a revised Camera app interface, and a fresh onboarding experience.

The beta introduces six new ringtones, all variants of the “reflection” tune, generating buzz on social media, particularly the “Dreamer” ringtone, which has received enthusiastic feedback from users.

In response to backlash over changes to the Camera app’s mode switcher, which altered the swipe gesture direction, Apple has reverted to the previous scroll direction in beta 6.

As a result, the iPhone maker has removing the Settings toggle that allowed users to switch back to “Classic Mode.” This decision indicates Apple’s willingness to prioritise user familiarity over the new interface.

Other notable updates include faster app transitions and new animations for launching apps. The Liquid Glass user interface continues to be refined, enhancing readability and introducing more colour dispersion as users navigate between app tabs.

After updating, users will also experience a new startup onboarding process that highlights the Liquid Glass design and other iOS 26 features, such as dark and clear icons and redesigned app interfaces.
