Apple is preparing to refresh its entry-level iPad after a 2.5-year gap. The iPad 11 is expected to launch this spring with several upgrades, bringing a long-overdue update to Apple’s most affordable tablet.

Gadinsider has compiled all the major announcements you can expect from the iPad 11.

iPad 11 Apple Intelligence integration

The iPad 11 will likely support Apple Intelligence, Apple’s latest AI-driven feature set. While the chipset hasn’t been confirmed, it’s speculated to use the A18 chip. This would unlock exciting capabilities like the all-new Siri, notification summaries, Genmoji, and ChatGPT integration.

If the spring release happens as expected, Apple will have rolled out all the features by then, making the iPad 11 a great option for those who want AI-powered functionality.

iPad 11 has better connectivity

The new iPad is also rumoured to support Wi-Fi 6E (or even Wi-Fi 7) and Bluetooth 5.3, significant upgrades from the current model’s Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.

Users can enjoy faster speeds, lower latency, and better connectivity. Additionally, there’s speculation about Apple introducing its first 5G modems in the iPad 11, providing improved network performance for cellular versions.

iPad 11 new Magic Keyboard

Apple may introduce a more affordable Magic Keyboard for the iPad 11. Unlike the current folio-style keyboard for the iPad 10, this new accessory could offer a more traditional keyboard design, enhancing productivity for users.

iPad 11 release timeline

According to Bloomberg, the iPad 11 will maintain the same design as the 2022 version but include performance improvements. It is expected to debut alongside the iPhone SE and iPad Air this spring.

The iPad 11 release date in spring 2025 will bring much-needed updates to Apple’s entry-level tablet, making it a stronger contender in the affordable tablet market.
