Months after staying in the rumour mill,  iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 have finally been released for iPhone and iPad models supporting these models. 

The rollout comes on the heels of a beta testing phase and two releases of beta versions, offering a spate of new features and improvements.

What's new in iOS 18.2?

One of the most notable enhancements in the latest iOS update focused on Siri, which has been integrated with OpenAI’s ChatGPT to efficiently handle more perplexing tasks. 

With the updated Siri, iPhone users can now even sign in with their ChatGPT account to unlock access to additional features locked for unpaid users.

Camera improvements in iOS 18.2

The camera update comes with amplified camera settings that are optimal for recognising objects and locations, coupled with Google Search support and ChatGPT, ensuring interactive photography. 

The iPhone maker has also incorporated a new two-stage shutter to bring precise focus and exposure adjustments to the table.

Safari updates in iOS 18.2 

Apple's flagship browser Safari has made background customisable while offering import/export functionality and HTTPS priority upgrades enriching the browsing experience.
