iPhone 16 is still under the wraps but Apple, the Cupertino-based tech giant, appears to have some plans for the iPhone 17.
However, there are very limited rumours and leaks speculated about the release and specs of the iPhone 17, but they are encouraging enough for convenience to buy the flagship model.
iPhone 17 specs (expected)
Here are a few rumours that have been swirling around the release date and specifications of the not-in-sight iPhone 17.
iPhone 17 release date and price (expected)
iPhones have been released in September every year for almost a decade and it is expected to keep its tradition intact by unveiling the iPhone 17 in September 2025. This was also confirmed by a few tech enthusiasts with reliable smartphone industry sources.
However, the price is difficult to pin down because its predecessor iPhone 15 is not revealed yet which would predict the market conditions in 2025. However, another report suggested that it is likely to cost more than $1,199 for the Pro models of the iPhone 17 series.

Design and screen
According to analyst Jeff Pu, the iPhone 17 is likely to be a 6.1-inch device and he further suggests that Pu claims Dynamic Island is likely to shrink on the iPhone 17 Pro.
Additionally, it might experience a few significant changes including the standard iPhone 17 may support 120Hz ProMotion display for enhanced performance.
The LTPO OLED panels would be able to drop to almost 1Hz with an always-on display, similar to the Pro models.
Performance and battery
iPhone 17 is likely to feature the A19 chipset which would be an evolvement forward that might be built to the 2nm process, offering an enhanced transistor density for maximum efficiency.
It means that it would powerlessly drain, indicating enhanced battery life and most crucially, it’s building its batteries for the first time and reportedly to provide “significantly improved performance compared to the existing one.”
Cameras
The iPhone 17 Pro Max model is tipped to feature 48MP cameras, but since no change is expected for the iPhone 16 which is likely to feature a 48MP primary lens and a 12MP ultrawide lens, insights into the rear camera of the iPhone 17's standard model have not yet emerged.
Furthermore, a renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has tipped a 24MP selfie camera for iPhone 17.
