In what seems to be a discouraging factor for consumers, iPhone prices are expected to increase sharply due to the recently imposed tariffs.

On April 3, US President Donald Trump imposed a series of heavy tariffs on multiple countries, a move that analysts believe could significantly disrupt global trade.

Among the hardest-hit products are consumer electronics, with iPhones potentially facing price hikes of 30% to 40% if Apple passes the added costs to customers, according to Reuters.

It's worth noting that most of the iPhones are still manufactured in China, which is now subject to a 54% tariff. If these levies remain in place, Apple would either be bound to bear the extra costs or incur them upon consumers.

Apple, which sells over 220 million iPhones annually, could see drastic price shifts in its biggest markets, including the United States, China, and Europe.

According to projections from Rosenblatt Securities, the cheapest iPhone 16 model, originally priced at $799, could rise to $1,142.

The high-end iPhone 16 Pro Max, currently retailing at $1,599, could soar to nearly $2,300 if Apple passes on the full 43% projected increase.
