In correlation with Pakistan's growing esports sector, Jazz's GameNow, Pakistan’s leading gaming platform, powered one of the country’s most exciting esports events, Takedown 2025.
The three-day ultimate esports showdown, Takedown 2025, was held at Lahore’s Nishtar Complex, Gaddafi Stadium, from 24 to 26 October.
The gaming competition featured a record prize pool of Rs2.5 million, with Tekken 8 being the headlining part of the event, which drew the nation’s top players for three days of fierce competition and entertainment.
The event also showcased Fatal Fury matches, cosplay walks, and exclusive fan giveaways, which served as a hotspot for the celebration of Pakistan's booming gaming culture.
Ranging from the Tekken 8 pools and Fatal Fury rounds to the grand finale Top 8 face-off, Takedown 2025 kept fans captivated throughout by welcoming global esports stars such as Arslan Ash and Atif Butt. Both of these esports superstars highlighted Pakistan’s growing reputation as a powerhouse in international gaming.
Syed Arsalan Qamar, the head of Gaming at Jazz, said the event reflected GameNow’s mission to “empower and celebrate Pakistan’s gaming community” by providing a platform for young talent to connect and compete globally.
Through partnerships with Baaz and Garena Free Fire, GameNow is fuelling Pakistan’s esports growth through tournaments, leaderboards, vouchers, and streaming services.
