In a development aimed at facilitating millions across Pakistan who are increasingly stepping into stock trading, JazzCash has teamed up with KTrade to offer millions in the country easy access to stock trading via the JazzCash app.

The partnership took place on Tuesday at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in Barcelona, Spain, after JazzCash President Murtaza Ali and KTrade Chairman Ali Farid Khwaja formally signed the agreement.

The partnership will result in JazzCash’s over 13 million active app users easily opening a stock trading Sahulat Account, depositing funds, trading stocks and managing their investments, all through the JazzCash app.

As part of this collaboration, KTrade will reportedly be integrated into JazzCash as a mini-app to allow trading freaks to open a Sahulat brokerage account with a funding of up to Rs1 million, as permitted by the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX). The move is aimed at providing both new and experienced investors with a simplified and intuitive trading experience.

Citing estimated data, The News reported that only 0.15% of Pakistan’s 240 million population is an active stock trader, indicating a huge gap which is expected to be addressed through this partnership.

Once comes into execution, the development marks a landmark shot at a time when digitalisation's adoption is witnessing a notabe upsurge, people are resorting to engaging in gateways of alternate, passive income.
