Pakistani passport ranking on Thursday improved significantly, climbing from 126th to 98th in the Henley Passport Index 2026, which is claimed as a strong achievement.

Netizens can now travel 31 destinations across Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Oceania with visa-free, visa-on-arrival or electronic travel authorisation (eTA).

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi said: "Pakistan’s passport ranking improving from 126th to 98th is a strong achievement, and this momentum will continue, InshaAllah.”

Pakistanis can now travel without advance visas to Caribbean countries — Barbados and Dominica — African states — including Rwanda and Senegal — and South Pacific island nations like Vanuatu and Samoa.

Last year, Pakistan introduced a Digital Integrated Dashboard to support the growing travel freedom, as this system tracks passport applications, printing, and deliveries in real time, speeding up processing and improving service domestically and at overseas missions.
