Leak reveals enhanced responsiveness in upcoming Galaxy S24 displays

Ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event 2024 — scheduled for January 17, a tipster has claimed that the Galaxy S24 series is likely to come with a notable improvement in touch response speed.

It was learnt that the Samsung Galaxy S24 lineup, which is expected to stand out from its predecessors with upgraded screens, new chipsets, and cameras, will go live at the much-awaited Galaxy Unpacked Event.

Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), Tipster Ice Universe (@UniverseIce) revealed that the touchscreen response speed for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra will be more than 10% higher compared to the previous models.

This new feature will give users and faster and smoother response and might lead to a better S Pen experience for the top-end Galaxy S24 Ultra.

According to information shared by various tipsters, it has been learnt that the Galaxy S24 will boast a 6.2-inch full-inch full-HD+ (1,080x2,340 pixels) Dynamic AMOLED screen. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24+ is likely to be equipped with a 6.7-inch (1,440x3,120 pixels) Dyanamic AMOLED display. Lastly, Galaxy S24 Ultra is tipped to feature a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dyanamic AMOLED display.

It should be noted that the screens of the S24 lineup could also boast a dynamic refresh rate ranging from 1Hz to 120Hz with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits.

Fans have already started booking their phones as Samsung has already opened reservations for the S24 series — which is expected to be the first Samsung device with Galaxy AI — in India.
