The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Saturday revealed important update for citizens who are looking to renew their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) online via the Pak-ID mobile application.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the authority stated: "Submit your ID card renewal request now from the Pak-ID mobile app and receive your card at home."

Citizens can now easily apply for a CNIC from the comfort of their own home without standing in long queues and waiting for their turn.

Last week, Nadra upgraded its Pak-ID app to version 5.3.0, which includes new features to give you a better experience. The Pak-ID mobile app version 5.3.0 brings you two key benefits:

  • Recover your account even if you’ve lost both your password and old email, set a new password, and update your email and mobile number.
  • If a child’s birth is already registered with the Union Council (UC) but the B-Form wasn’t made, parents can now submit their CNIC request the moment they turn 18. For the first time, the CNIC-holding father needs to go with the applicant to the Nadra Registration Centre (NRC).

Following the launch of version 5.3.0, the authority stated that users will now have new capabilities which will let them access the app differently.
