The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has expanded its essential services, which are now accessible at local Union Councils, providing hassle-free facilities to citizens.
To ease public access, NADRA has launched a new initiative that lets residents avail themselves of all identity-related services directly from their respective Union Council offices.
It is worth noting that these services include the issuance and renewal of National Identity Cards (CNICs), Child Registration Certificates (B-Forms), Family Registration Certificates, changes in marital status, cancellation of ID cards, and more.
Initially, the services have been unleashed in Union Councils of Islamabad’s Saidpur, Sihala, Model Town, Koral, I-10/4, Chakwal’s Mureed area, and Gujrat’s Daulat Nagar.
Earlier, NADRA launched a significant initiative encouraging individuals who have obtained their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) using incorrect information, whether deliberately or unintentionally, to come forward and self-report
With this initiative, NADRA aims to promote transparency and provide citizens with a safe pathway to correct identity-related errors without facing immediate punitive consequences.
As part of its ongoing efforts to improve identity verification and data accuracy, NADRA suggested that the public visit their nearest registration centres to rectify any errors in their records.
