Team Ninja has officially confirmed that Nioh 3 will launch on February 6, 2026, ending months of speculation about the next chapter in its acclaimed action RPG series.

The announcement comes just days after fans noticed a premature listing on Amazon Japan that hinted at the same date. Koei Tecmo has now made it official, revealing that pre-orders for both the Standard and Collector’s Editions are live.

What to expect from Nioh 3?

Nioh 3 was announced during the State of Play from Sony in June 2025, with a limited-time pre-alpha demo that showed off the new “Ninja” combat style.

The demo also confirmed Nioh 3 will contain even larger, exploration-based environments than the previous games but will not be a fully open-world title like Team Ninja’s Rise of the Ronin.

Reportedly, Koei Tecmo said Nioh 3 plans to lean heavily on everything fans enjoyed about the previous two games: deep RPG mechanics, punishing yet fair combat, and a story grounded in Japanese myth.

The studio also shared the third game would introduce a new set of gameplay systems that would retain the interest of veteran players while still being accessible for new players.
