For those so much out of the loop, the launch of the latest iteration of the Nothing Phone 2a series is something to raise a few tech-savvy eyebrows, but not those residing in the US. Read on to get the context.
Nothing recently released its Nothing Phone 2a Plus, a midrange addition to its flagship Phone 2a lineup, which in terms of design shares so much in common with the Nothing Phone 2a, making it hard to compare and choose the different one.
Despite being an identical version of the Nothing Phone 2a, the Nothing Phone 2a Plus stands out in the faceoff with its predecessor by boasting some notable spec bumps.

Nothing Phone 2a Plus specifications
The smartphone is equipped with MediaTek Dimensity 7350 Pro, a scaled-up version of the chipset Nothing Phone 2a featured. Moreover, Nothing Phone 2a comes with an AMOLED screen complemented by a 120 Hz refresh rate which delivers crispier visuals than those of Nothing Phone 2a.
A dual rear camera including a 50MP primary lens a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP selfie shooter ranks it in the top-tier smartphone segment, something that mismatches its price.
Nothing Phone 2a Plus price and availability
Although not launched in the US, the Nothing Phone 2a Plus in the US can be bought for $399 through the company's developer programme. The handset is not available for purchase at stores like Best Buy or regular carriers.
The Phone 2a Plus in the UK is listed at a price point of £399 (~$500), whereas the India-only Phone 2a Plus variant with 8GB of RAM (unlike the 12GB trims in other regions) is available for INR 27,999.
Fret not if you happen to be a US resident as the company has announced to expand the Phone 2a Plus in other countries in September.
