
While Qualcomm is confirmed to announce the release of Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 at the Snapdragon Tech Summit 2024, OnePlus is likely to be one of the first brands to launch a smartphone with this new chip.
OnePlus China’s President Louis Lee announced the launch of the upcoming OnePlus 13 in a Weibo post, hinting towards the launch timeframe to be October.
Lee confirmed that OnePlus 13 is expected to release with the latest generation of flagship chips i.e. Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in mid to late October, enabling the device to deliver remarkable performance.

Although Lee did not share any further details regarding the specifications of the OnePlus 13, according to reports, the OnePlus 13 is expected to be equipped with a 6.8-inch 8T LTPO BOE X2 screen along with a quad-micro-curved design.
Moreover, the handset will offer a 2K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.

The flagship’s rear camera setup is likely to feature an OIS-assisted 50-megapixel LYT-808 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 50-megapixel IMX882 periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
OnePlus 13 battery
The device will have a 6,000mAh battery with 100W charging and 50W wireless charging. It will also feature a 0916T haptic motor and IP68/69 dust and water resistance.
OnePlus 13 is tipped to go official in China in October. Since the upcoming chip is set for the fourth week of October release, reportedly the handset is expected to launch before the end of the month.
