Oppo officially launched its latest OS, ColorOS 16, powered by Android 16, on Wednesday, bringing several new features and a wide range of AI-powered tools.
According to the company, the latest OS will debut on the Oppo Find X9 series and gradually roll out to older Oppo devices in the coming months.
ColorOS 16 features
ColorOS 16 offers an advanced experience with new features like fluid animations, lock screen customisation, AI features, and an improved user interface (UI).
The company updated the Luminous Rendering Engine, which gives you a smooth performance even while multitasking actively and offers smoother transitions between apps, menus and widgets.
According to Oppo, ColorOS 16 allows users to improve their experience with new fonts and a full-screen Always-On display, alongside the lockscreen, through which you can now add motion photos alongside videos on wallpaper.
Oppo has upgraded its AI suite by adding features like AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Reflection Remover for photos, and AI Portrait Glow, which now provides the best results in low-light portraits.
