Outage hits WhatsApp and Instagram in Pakistan, Downdetector reports

Users experiences disruptions in WhatsApp and Instagram services in Pakistan

WhatsApp grappled with an outage in Pakistan, users engaged on WhatsApp experienced disruption in sending messages, voice notes, and more on September 21 (Saturday).

DownDetector, a web outage tracking site, reported an outage by collecting reports from users. Almost 52% users reported complaints in sending voice messages, while 26% struggled in sending messages while 22% users mentioned experiencing server connectivity issues.

Users engaged on Instagram have also reported reimnicent complaints for Meta-owned platform in loading the feed, while some users are experiencing server connectivity issues.

According to Downdetector, 77% users are experiencing disruption while using the app, 15% are facing server connectivity problems, and the remaining 9% are unable to download the feed.
