Google's forthcoming Pixel 10 Pro Fold is already causing quite a stir after its specifications were completely leaked only days before its launch at next week's Made by Google event.
The foldable phone, while part of Google's premier Pixel line, is set out to combine the powerhouse of a premium smartphone with the expandability and flexibility of a foldable screen.
According to a transparent spec sheet provided by WinFuture, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will be the first Google foldable to feature an IP68 rating, meaning it is completely dustproof and could survive being submerged in water (not that we would recommend that).
This is a huge win for Pixel fans and guarantees at least one point of superiority over competitors such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the Motorola Razr Ultra, both of which lack complete dust-proofing.
Additionally, the leak provided information on a marginally larger external display, measuring in at 6.4" compared to the Pixel 9 Pro Fold's 6.3" display.
Moreover, both internal and external displays are brighter, increasing maximum brightness from 2,700 to 3,000 nits, allowing better readability in direct sunlight.
On the charging front, the Pixel 10 Pro Fold supports 15W Qi2 wireless charging but did not gain the recently announced faster charging method of 25W from Google.
While the camera setup hasn’t changed much, the leak says it will now offer 10x optical zoom, doubling the previous 5x capability. This could be a major improvement for photography lovers who use foldables for travel and content creation.
