PUBG Mobile is collaborating with the hit anime Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. The crossover, launching on April 1, 2025, has surprised both gaming and anime fans.

In PUBG Mobile, characters plays into a battlefield, pick up guns, and engage in combat to be the last surviving person. Frieren is far more action-paced compared to the deep emotional themes of its storytelling.

PUBG Mobile and Frieren crossover

This surprise crossover is creating a huge hype among both groups. The official Frieren X account made the announcement, accompanied by promotional photos of Frieren embracing a Level 3 helmet, one of the top protective gear in PUBG.

Moreover, this has generated speculation that the event will feature more than cosmetic items. Fans speculate whether Frieren's magical powers will be incorporated into the gameplay.

PUBG Mobile has collaborated with anime shows previously, such as Jujutsu Kaisen, Hunter x Hunter, and Dragon Ball Super. All these collaborations tend to introduce character skins, special weapons, and even unique game modes.

Additionally, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is a series that continues the story of the elf mage Frieren as she contemplates life and feelings after she defeated the Demon King.

The anime premiered in September 2023 and concluded in March 2024 with 28 episodes. Because of its popularity, a second season has been confirmed for January 2026.
