Red Magic, a sub-brand of Nubia technology, has finally launched its flagship gaming smartphone, the Red Magic 9 Pro, in India.
This Snapdragon 8 Gen 3-powered gadget was originally released in the global market in December 2023. However, the company is sending these phones to Indian clients through its worldwide website, so they will not be available in the Indian local market.
The 12GB with 256GB combination is priced at $649 (INR 54,038), whereas, the top-end 16GB with 512GB model costs $799 (INR 66,528). Customers in India would be required to pay some extra taxes. Shipping these smartphones to New Delhi costs $895.62 (INR 74,573) for the 12GB with 256GB configuration and $1,102 (INR91,757) for the 16GB with 512GB.

However, these prices may appear to be high, but the Red Magic 9 Pro will still be less expensive than the ROG Phone 8 Pro, the only other current-generation gaming smartphone available in India.
In addition, the ROG Phone 8 Pro starts at INR 94,999 (16GB with 512GB), while the 24GB with 1TB variant costs INR 1,19,999.
Red Magic 9 Pro specifications
The Red Magic 9 Pro has a 6.8-inch Full HD+ OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 960Hz touch response rate. The screen has a 10-bit colour depth, covers the whole DCI-P3 colour gamut, and can achieve 1600 nits of brightness.
Moreover, it comes with an in-display fingerprint sensor for security and shoulder triggers for gaming. The handset is powered by an Octa-Core Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 CPU and an Adreno 750 GPU, and it has several RAM and storage choices, including UFS 4.0 technology.
Red Magic 9 Pro runs on Android 14 with Redmagic OS 9.0 and accepts dual SIM cards. The camera system consists of a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 16MP under-display front camera.
The audio system has a 3.5mm headphone connector, two speakers, DTS:X Ultra compatibility, and three microphones. The phone weighs 229g and has dimensions of 163.98×76.35×8.9mm.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, USB Type-C, and NFC. The device sports a 6500mAh battery with 80W rapid charging.
