The reportedly thinnest iPhone from Apple is on the verge of transforming the entire iPhone history next year. Slated to be released next year along with the iPhone 17 series, the rumoured iPhone Air will be the midpoint of the standard iPhone 17 model and the top-notch iPhone 17 Pro models.

Citing sources, Digital Trends reported that Apple was making “a significantly thinner version of the iPhone” for next year's iPhone series. But the disappointing part of the story is that despite being a middle-tier trim, the reported iPhone Air will be the most expensive of the entire iPhone 17 series.

Some say that the "Air" in its name will be serving as a replacement for the outgoing "Plus" variant in the iPhone series. “The idea is to create an “Air” version of the iPhone of sorts,” stated the report.

While being the most skinniest iPhone ever, the new iPhone 17 model will be endorsed as “something that looks much cooler while still having the specifications of a regular iPhone,” the report added.

The making of an iPhone Air was also predicted earlier by countless tipsters.

While it would be a landmark feat which Apple is eyeing with a slimmer iPhone, it appears that Apple might have forgotten its low selling woes it bore from the iPhone Plus models, which barely managed to remain in the spotlight for a few generations.

As the name suggests, the iPhone Air would hit the sweet spot between affordability and performance just like the iPad Air series.
