Unofficial renders of Samsung's upcoming flagship foldable, the Galaxy Z Fold 6, have surfaced, providing enthusiasts with a sneak peek into the device's anticipated design.

Shared by SmartPrix and OnLeaks, the images reveal a departure from the softer contours of its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, in favour of a more angular and boxy aesthetic reminiscent of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, recently introduced by the company.

Reportedly measuring 153.5 x 132.5 x 6.1mm (approximately 6 x 5.2 x 0.2 inches) when unfolded, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 boasts slightly different dimensions, being marginally shorter and wider than its forerunner. Its inner display is purportedly 7.6 inches diagonally, while the front cover display comes in at around 6.2 inches.

Despite the design shift, the renders showcase familiar features, including the triple camera setup on the rear panel. Positioned at the top are three microphones and a speaker grill, while the bottom houses another microphone, speaker grill, and a USB-C port. Volume controls and the power button retain their placement on the right-hand side, with the SIM card slot located on the left.

While Samsung has yet to confirm specifications, reports from SmartPrix suggest that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy chipset, offering memory options of 12GB and 16GB, along with up to 1TB of storage.

Expectations point toward OLED displays with a 120Hz refresh rate for both screens. The triple-camera system is speculated to feature a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, complemented by a 10-megapixel selfie camera.

Official details remain pending, with Samsung likely to unveil more information at an upcoming Unpacked event anticipated in July, possibly coinciding with the launch of the Galaxy Ring.
