Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 is expected to debut alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 later this year. It is anticipated to succeed the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, respectively. The current lineup of foldable devices was introduced in July 2023. It's rumoured that the upcoming models will bring significant upgrades over their predecessors.

Several leaks have surfaced online, providing details about the potential displays of the upcoming handsets. Additionally, there have been hints about Samsung launching a more budget-friendly foldable smartphone. Now, a tipster claims that the smartphone might come with a flagship-level camera.

Taking to X (formerly named Twitter), tipster Revegnus (@Tech_Reve) reported that Samsung is considering using the same camera sensor found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra for the Galaxy Z Fold 6.

The post mentions, "the Fold 6 with the same camera sensor as the S24 Ultra instead of decreasing the battery capacity," but it could be a typo. It could be "increasing" instead of "decreasing," indicating that instead of opting for a larger battery, Samsung plans to upgrade the Galaxy Z Fold 6 with an updated main camera sensor compared to its older model.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra boasts a quad rear camera setup, featuring a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, a 50-megapixel telephoto shooter, and a 10-megapixel camera.

While, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 comes with a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 50-megapixel sensor with a wide-angle lens and OIS (optical image stabilization) support, a 12-megapixel sensor with an ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto shooter.

Earlier leaks suggested that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 could sport a wider display and a slimmer design. It's rumoured to feature larger inner and outer displays compared to its predecessor. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 boasts a 7.6-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex primary display and a 6.2-inch full-HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover panel.
