Samsung’s highly anticipated Galaxy Z TriFold is inching closer to launch, following its official certification by Singapore’s Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA).
The listing confirms that the futuristic foldable device is now ready to enter the consumer market.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold specifications
The TriFold, which was recently demoed in Korea, had heads turning with its three-panel folding design.
According to TheTechOut, the model number SM-F968B/DS includes notable connectivity options like UWB, Bluetooth, NFC, and Wi-Fi.
The 'DS' suffix further points toward dual SIM support, but it is yet to be seen if that will be an eSIM-only variant because of the ultra-slim build of the device.
The new foldable from Samsung could be the thinnest Galaxy device yet, a smartphone that could feature technology with a futuristic form factor.
Several rumours reveal that the TriFold may come with a premium price tag of around $3,000 (approx. Rs842,250) because the company reportedly has given orders for a limited first batch of production, 20,000 to 30,000 units.
Certification from the IMDA usually is a good indicator that a launch is just weeks away.
If the timeline holds, Samsung could roll out the Galaxy Z TriFold globally as soon as next month, potentially marking a new era in foldable smartphone design.
