Samsung has resumed the One UI 7 rollout based on Android 15 after temporarily halting it because of a significant bug. The rollout introduces Samsung's newest software features to several of its best-selling Galaxy phones.

One UI 7, which is Samsung's take on Android 15, introduces a new design, smoother animations, and enhanced privacy features. It also enhances battery life and app handling.

The update initially went live on April 7 but was suspended last week by Samsung after users in South Korea encountered problems, primarily with unlocking phones.

Now, the company has resolved the issue and is rolling out the update again. Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 users are noticing the update rollout globally. Rumours suggest that T-Mobile and Verizon users in the US are already receiving it.

Although Samsung did not specifically detail the bug, it did state that the update timeline was being rescheduled "to provide the best experience." The holdup frustrated some users because Google had made Android 15 available to developers months earlier, in September 2024.

While Galaxy S25 and fresh Galaxy A-series phones were released with One UI 7, older ones such as the S23 series, S24 FE, S23 FE, Fold 5, Flip 5, and Tab S9/S10 are just now starting to receive it.
