To attract a wider audience of paying customers, Snapchat has introduced new features for its Snapchat+ subscribers, including the ability to create AI-generated stickers in chats.

The launch of this feature comes on the heels of Snap's unveiling of an AI text-to-image research model for mobile devices.

The feature utilises artificial intelligence (AI) to generate custom stickers that match the text in a particular contact's chats.

It's worth noting that Snapchat is not the first platform to offer this feature as both Meta and Apple already have similar features in their portfolios.

The new feature builds on another Snapchat+ feature, which allows subscribers to create and send AI-generated images based on a text prompt.

By introducing custom AI-generated stickers, Snapchat is providing its paying users with another way to use generative AI and enhance their chats.

To access this feature, Snapchat+ subscribers in the US can start typing in the chat bar and then select the sticker search button. From there, users will find an AI-generated sticker that includes the text.

In addition to the AI-generated stickers, Snapchat+ subscribers are also gaining access to a new feature called "Snap Modes."

This feature enables users to send self-destructing Snaps that disappear if they're not viewed within a set time frame.
