WhatsApp is apparently creating a feature, which will allow users to pin various channels for easy access. The ability to pin up to two channels at the top of the list was noticed in a beta version of WhatsApp for Android and might not be available to all beta testers.

Currently, there’s yet no option to pin the favourite channels at the top of the chat on the stable version of WhatsApp. However, it is confirmed that the feature might be launched with a future WhatsApp for Android upgrade.

According to WABetaInfo, a WhatsApp feature tracker, WhatsApp is set to unveil the capability to pin up to two channels at a time with WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.13.3.

Once the feature is turned on, you can touch and hold on to two channels in the list, then tap the pin icon from the top bar, as displayed in the screenshot surfaced by WABetaInfo.

The feature tracker assumes that the feature might be enhanced with the navigation experience by ensuring that the frequently visited channels remain easily accessible.

The capability to pin multiple WhatsApp channels is claimed to be available to beta testers who download WhatsApp beta for Android 2.24.13.3 through the Google Play Store beta program.

Moreover, the upgrade is likely to bring the ability to select multiple WhatsApp channels for bulk actions, like pin them, mark the status as read or mute them. It could be helpful to those who have subscribed to multiple channels by making it easier to handle them.
