
At the Worldwide Developers Conference 2024, Apple announced a significant upgrade to Apple Wallet with iOS 18, packed with innovative new features that will make financial transactions more seamless and convenient for the users.
With the feature Tap to Cash, user can easily send and receive Apple Cash by simply holding their iOS devices together. There’s no need to share the phone number or any other personal information for the process.
Moreover, event tickets in Apple Wallet are also getting a major update. You'll be able to see the key event information, including map of the venue and parking details, right on your tickets. Additionally, you'll have an access to the useful services like in-seat food delivery and recommended playlists from Apple Music app.

However, adding new credit or debit cards to Apple Wallet just got much more easier than before with Tap to Provision. You have to simply tap your card on the back of your iPhone, and you're good to go.
You'll also be able to use Apple Pay when shopping online or in-app on your computer. Just scan a code from the website using your iPhone device, and complete the payment process.
Furthermore, Apple Pay and Apple Wallet are also integrating rewards and instalment payment option from banks. You'll be able to apply for loans directly through Affirm when you check out with Apple Pay. Plus, you'll be able to view and redeem rewards, and access instalment loan offerings from eligible credit or debit cards.
Any bank or issuer in approved markets that accepts Apple Pay will be able to implement these features.
