Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference 2024 has introduces several exciting updates, and one of the most significant announcements is the Translate app on Apple Watch with the watchOS 11. This innovative feature aims to revolutionise ways a user communicate while travelling or interacting with people who speak different languages.

The Translate app, introduced in 2020 with iOS 14, has been a groundbreaker for iPhone users. With watchOS 11, the Cupertino company is working on bringing this powerful tool to the Apple Watch, making it even more convenient to communicate in different languages among the users.

The app supports 20 languages, including Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Ukrainian.

However, using the Translate app on Apple Watch is incredibly easy. You can use your voice to translate from one language to another, and the app will read the translated text aloud in the desired language. Alternatively, you can use the built-in keyboard to type the text. The app also allows you to download languages for offline translation, making it perfect for travellers.

Moreover, Translate app on the Apple Watch is based on iPhone app, so users would be feeling familiar with the interface and features. However, the Apple Watch version is packed with some unique features, including the ability to detect when you're travelling to a country with a different language and offering quick translations through a Smart Stack widget on spot.

The public will be able to access watchOS 11 in the fall; a developer beta is currently accessible, and the public beta is scheduled to launch in July. An Apple Watch Series 6 or later is needed to receive the update.
